Hosted by the Bedford Detachment

Accomodations have been reserved for you at The Pointe, a
restaurant and conference center at Mariners Landing Smith Mountain Lake.
We have reserved 25 Double Occupancy Suites. These are two bedroom suites
that have a full kitchen, dining room and living room. Boat slips, tennis
courts, swimming pools, golf course, and of course Smith Mountain Lake is
available and waiting for you. Room rates are $115.00 / night for 1-3 nights.
If you stay 4 or more nights, the cost is only $100 / night. These prices include
all taxes and are good from June 5th through June 18th. So, make a vacation of
it and spend a week or more.

Hospitality night will be held at the Cabana, which is an enclosed area to keep the bugs
off of you, and a fenced in swimming pool for your enjoyment. Hospitality will start
at 1600. We will have a live auction held by a professional auctioneer.


Saturday night's installation of officers will be held aboard the Virginia Dare, a paddle wheel
boat that can accomodate up to 135 people. The Virginia Dare will pick us up at the conference
center's boat dock and take us on a cruise out across Smith Mountain Lake Dam and back. We will shove off
at 1930 and return around 2200. We will be on the lake at the most beautiful time of day and will
enjoy the sunset over the lake. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be provided for your enjoyment, as well as
two cash bars will be available. The cost of this magnificent event is $37.50 per person. Remember
the Virginia Dare will only accomodate 135 people, so make your reservations soon. Mail your
