- Setting Up Your Account
- Click on Start > Programs > Internet Explorer > Outlook Express.
- A new window, Setting up Internet Mail, will appear. Check "Create a new Internet mail account" and click Next.
- In the next window, put your name in there, i.e., John Doe. Click Next.
- In the next window, put your email address in there, i.e., jdoe@lynchburg.net. Use -all- lowercase letters. Click Next.
- In the next window, toggle "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server." Below, the incoming (POP3) mail server is mail.lynchburg.net. Also, the outgoing mail server is mail.lynchburg.net. Click Next.
- In the next window, Internet Mail Logon, put a bullet next to "Log on using" and place your POP account name, i.e., jdoe, -not- jdoe@lynchburg.net, and your password in there. Click Next.
- In the next window, Friendly Name, this is where you can name your e-mail account anything you like. Type anything in there and then click Next.
- In the next window, "Choose Connection Type," select "Connect using my phone line" and then click Next.
- In the next window, select Use an Existing Dial-Up Connection and then click on lynchburg.net below. Click Finish.
- That's it. You can now go send and receive your e-mail.
- To Add Another Account
- Click on Start > Programs > Internet Explorer > Outlook Express.
 - In the new window, click on Tools > Accounts.
- In the new window, click on the Mail tab.
- To the right, click Add...
- In the next window, put your name in there, i.e., John Doe. Click Next.
- In the next window, put your email address in there, i.e., jdoe@lynchburg.net. Use -all- lowercase letters. Click Next.
- In the next window, toggle "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server." Below, the incoming (POP3) mail server is mail.lynchburg.net. Also, the outgoing mail server is mail.lynchburg.net. Click Next.
