- Double-click on My Computer. (No My Computer? It may A) be Windows 3.1/3.11 or a Macintosh that you're using, or B) there's a window in the way that you must minimize or move out of the way).
- Double-click on Control Panel.
- Double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
- In the new window, click on the second tab - Windows Setup.
- In the mini-window that appears, double-click on Communications.
- In Communications, ask if there's is a check mark next to Dial-Up Networking. If it's there, remove it. If it isn't there, check it.

- If you had to remove it, go ahead and click OK.
- Then click Apply from the Windows Setup window, then OK. The re-start the computer through Start > Shut Down > Restart the Computer.
- When the computer comes back on, follow the directions from #6 above.
- After checking Dial-Up Networking to add it, click on OK.
- From the Windows Setup window, click Apply, then OK.
- Restart the computer. If this was done as part of re-installing your connection to Lynchburg.Net, procede here for the next step.
