| Add New Dial-Up Networking Connection |
- Double-click the My Computer icon.
- Double-click the Dial-Up Networking folder.
- Double-click the Make New Connection icon.
- Under Type a name for the computer you are dialing, type Lynchburg.net
- Click the Next button.
- In the Area code and Telephone number text boxes, type your local Lynchburg.net access number. Remember to check with your local telephone company to make sure that the number you choose is a local, toll-free call.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button.
- Click the Lynchburg.net icon.
- From the menu bar, click File and select Properties.
- Click the Server Types button.
- Check Enable software compression.
- Check TCP/IP.
- Nothing else should be checked.
- Click the TCP/IP Settings button.
- Select the Specify Name Server Addresses button.
- In the Primary DNS text box, type 216.207.176.3
- In the Secondary DNS text box, type 216.207.176.9
- Click the OK button.
- Click OK again to close the Properties list.
- Close Dial-Up Networking.
- Your Internet connection is now set up.
