Mission Statement


Safety-First Aid-Training

The Mission Statement was developed in 1961 when "The Crew" was first organized.  It was based on the simplest of principles necessary to provide the citizens of our call area with emergency medical and rescue services.  Each    value was a building block in the development of the modern day Citizens Emergency Crew.  To this day the mission statement remains unchanged.

 

Safety

Safety of our members, Safety of our patients, Safety of our community

 

First Aid

The very basis of the modern EMT.  These skills were all that armed the early members of Citizens Emergency Crew.  Today First aider have been replaced by EMTs, but the skills are still taught to the member of the community so they can help themselves and others.

 

Training

Training is the stable of efficiency.  Citizens Emergency Crew that all members keep their training up to date so as they may provide the most efficient service to the community. All member are currently required to complete a minimum of certification in Emergency Medical Technician -Basic (EMT-B), CPR, EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operators Course) and Basic and Light Rescue.  To help provide this training and more Citizens Emergency Crew has instructor in CPR, EVOC, Basic and Light Rescue, Vertical Rescue, and Heavy Duty Rescue.
