Youth Ministries

The United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) celebrates all youth in grades six through twelve.

Ordinarily, youth meetings are held on Sunday evenings from 5:00 till 7:00 pm, with additional events scheduled during the month such as service projects, fundraisers for mission trips, recreational activities and other adventures.

Once a month, the Youth Council (composed of adults and youth within the church) plan various activities for fun, fellowship, education and service to the community.  Parents are encouraged to participate in all recreational activities and service projects.  Other adults interested in sharing special talents or skills, or willing to lend a hand on special events are also encouraged to participate in ther youth programs.

Essential to all youth activities is the nurturing of Biblical values and truths for these young disciples of Christ.

Enthusiastic participants, the youth practice a skit once a month, presented at the Sunday Night Alive! Praise Service.  They are also the ones behind the puppet stage, delivering the children’s message on Sunday mornings and evenings.

Sunday mornings, the youth participate ion our Rotational Sunday School program, learning Christian values through art, music, science, games, movies and cooking to gain perspectives of Biblical stories.
